TSI operates four CRR facilities in Allegheny County for individuals with mental illness: three supervised apartments and one group home. Supervised apartments provide settings that offer more independence and privacy combined with 24-hour staff availability.
Group Home
This four-story group home is located on the border of Shadyside and East Liberty. The group home provides a family-like environment, with private bedrooms, shared living spaces and group meals. Through a caring environment, individuals can learn daily living skills. There are 14 rooms with three bathrooms, kitchen, living room, laundry facilities and outdoor patio.
Supervised Apartments
Supervised apartments offer more independence and privacy than the group home setting for individuals who need less frequent residential support. These settings provide individuals who need less frequent residential support, a permanent housing arrangement. Individuals are assisted in gaining or regaining the skills necessary to be successful in keeping their living environment of their choice and for recovery of other valued social, learning, or working roles of their choice.
Squirrel Hill
This three-story apartment building is located in Squirrel Hill and consist of five apartments shared apartments. Each apartment includes private bedrooms, living room, kitchen, dining room, bathroom and laundry on site. Four apartments include a small balcony, and one apartment includes a shared kitchen which opens to the deck located in the back of the building. The deck is available to all individuals.
